I am a self professed SEO geek who got into the industry by obsessively reading blogs, learning from my peers in the SEO community, and - crucially - applying all this in practice and seeing what works. In just a few years I have gained a wide range of experience getting awesome results for small businesses, blue chip brands and large ecommerce sites alike. I am currently SEO Director at media agency OMD UK. When I'm not working on SEO campaigns I can be found spouting random things on Twitter, occasionally blogging (including for Econsultancy), and aimlessly wandering the streets of Brighton.

I love getting stuck into all sides of an SEO campaign: technical onsite SEO, kick-arse content strategies, and both creative and scalable linkbuilding techniques. I'm also a big fan of making sure SEO campaigns deliver great ROI, not just fancy looking charts, and am a big believer in the power of long tail traffic.

I strongly believe that at heart SEO isn't as complex as it's cracked up to be if you break it down into its basic elements. In my presentation I plan to explain things simply, give away (hopefully) useful ideas and techniques, looking at real life examples rather than abstract ideas.

The great thing about ThinkVis compared to other conferences is how focused it is on practical and useful takeaways (no I'm not talking about post-DrinkVisibility visits to the kebab shop). So instead of giving the usual 'broad brush ideas + a few examples' talk, I am going to turn this around and go from the specific to the general and talk about the actual execution of linkbuilding in real life, which is 80% of the puzzle, in my experience.

That's where YOU (yes, you) come in. I want you to submit a website for review in the form below. From a selection of submissions I will then take a detailed, practical look at what they need to be doing to get killer results from organic search. Using your examples I will look at things like:

identifying realistic target keywords
finding the gaps in your backlink profile
on-site factors you can't ignore
long tail strategies & getting deep links
quality vs quantity links - striking a balance that works, and how to do it
getting other people to build links for you
tools, resources and links to help you do all this

The sites chosen will come away with a great free consultation - but for the rest of you there will be easy to follow, practical learnings you can go home with and start applying straight away.
