Alun Rowe
Alun Rowe runs a web development company in Oxfordshire with clients ranging from micro 1 person companies to international bluechips.
He started his working life with HMV as a Computer Games Buyer before becoming disillusioned with the lack of freebies which caused him to leave and get a part time job looking after computers, at the same time he tried to launch his pop career and spent 3 years touring universities with his band Ninety. Finally in 1998 he came to the conclusion that the web was where all the cool kids hung out, quit music and IT and started Pentangle.
He knows little about SEO wizardry but lots about standards, semantic markup and the power of community.
He also knows he should blog more at http://alunr.com/ but really doesn't have the time so you are better off watching out for his ramblings on twitter. If he did blog it would, ofcourse, be super awesome techniques and stuff which would be a virtual goldmine to any prospective reader.
When he's not working Alun enjoys family time, kart racing and the occasional trackday. He's currently saving up for a camper van and an Aston Martin although no doubt he'll just end up spending it all on his 2 year old son instead."
Your brand is more than a URL
I'll take the audience through my process for creating an online brand that integrates with the website including Flickr, Twitter, Facebook, Linked in, google business directory etc Then I'll discuss how to get customers involved in communities using some examples from my portfolio and also how to look to the physical manifestations of the communities for real marketing benefits.
